Nora Chase-Tatko (she/her) is a senior at Montpelier High School and this is her fourth year in Teen Jazz. She’s taken Ballet classes since she was three years old and later added Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, and Pointe. She danced at Moving Light for seven years before moving to Contemporary Dance and Fitness Studio where she’s been for the last eight years. She assists Ballet 3 with Isadora Snapp and Let’s Make Dance with Rosemary Leach, and enjoys classical ballet, working with younger dancers, and choreographing. She does not plan to pursue dance as a career but hopes to continue dancing in college and throughout her life.
Grace Dostie (she/her) is in 10th grade and this is her first year as a member of Teen Jazz. Grace has been dancing for 11 years and she loves ballet, jazz, and modern. She also did tap dancing for many years when she was younger. Outside of dance, Grace loves to draw and create art, as well as play the violin. She also loves reading and skiing.
Ayla Duggan (She/her) is 15 years old and this is her first year in Teen Jazz. Ayla has been dancing for 6 years at CD&FS and her favorite style of dance is Ballet. In addition to doing new things this dance year, Ayla is assisting Primary Ballet 2 which she is loving. She has really connected with the kids and loves seeing how passionate they are about dancing. Outside of dance Ayla is a sophomore at Montpelier High School and she also has a job at Heaton woods.
Ambrose Kai Francis (he/they) is a junior and this is his first year in Teen Jazz. They've been a student at CD&FS since 4th grade but have been dancing since they were 3 years old. He is currently taking Modern 3-4 and Hip Hop 3-4. His favorite way to dance is improvisation with other people.
Sophia Giammusso (she/her) is in 9th grade and this is her first year in Teen Jazz. She took ballet classes for many years but over the past year has found her love for Hip-Hop and jazz. Sophia has been in many performances of The Nutcracker along with performing in Sleeping Beauty, Alice in Wonderland, and other classic ballets. This past spring Sophia really enjoyed her Hip-Hop performance piece. She loved the music and dance moves and had so much fun performing with her friends.
Jeremy Harries (he/him) is a freshman and this is his first year in Teen Jazz! Jeremy started dancing in 5th grade and his favorite style of dance is Hip-Hop. Jeremy loves Hip-Hop because he enjoys all the different types of movement and freestyle you can do and how creative you can be with it. In addition to taking Hip-Hop, he also takes Jazz and Ballet.
Chi-Chi MacVicar-Ceckler (she/her) is a sophomore at Montpelier High School. She is super excited to be joining Teen Jazz this year. This will be her ninth year dancing with CD&FS. Though she has dabbled in styles of dance like Jazz, Modern, and Tap in the past, Ballet is her favorite style of dance. Additionally, outside of dance, Chi-Chi enjoys playing with her dogs and trying to teach them new tricks.
Molly McCall (she/her) is in 9th grade at MHS, and this is her first year in Teen Jazz. Molly's favorite dance style is jazz. Other than the classes Molly takes at the studio, she co-teaches a Jr. Breaking/Hip Hop class and a Pre-Primary Ballet class. Molly also assists a Jr. Tap and Jazz class. Outside of dance, in addition to being a dedicated student, Molly enjoys the summer, spending time with her friends, and babysitting. This year Molly is looking forwards to being a member of Teen Jazz and participating in all the things that come with it!
Stella Meyer (she/her) is a sophomore at Montpelier High School and this is her first year in Teen Jazz. She joined CDFS last year but has been dancing since she was 7 years old. Stella has taken many different types of dance (including Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary dance) but her current favorites are Hip-Hop and Modern. She is very happy to be joining Teen Jazz this year and is excited to perform in the spring.
Josephine Mikus (she/her) is a sophomore at U-32, and this is her second year in Teen Jazz. Breakdance is her favorite dance style. She's been doing it since she can remember and co-teaches two classes at the studio. Outside of dance, Josephine is interested in engineering and language and is almost unhealthily addicted to the New York Times.
Molly Pepin (she/her) is a sophomore at U-32 and this is her first year in Teen Jazz. She has been dancing at CD&FS for 11 years, mainly focusing on her favorite style: Ballet. Molly is looking forward to exploring new styles of dance and having the opportunity to perform at schools and other venues. She is really excited to be surrounded by people who also love dance and to be making memories along the way.
Mia Reynolds (she/her) is in 10th grade and this is her second year in Teen Jazz. Her favorite styles of dance are currently Jazz and Hip-Hop. Outside of dance, she plays the violin and is in the Vermont Youth Orchestra. Mia is looking forward to performing with the new group this year as well as with returning Teen Jazz dancers!
